MIA UPDATE

many thanks for the efforts of some who were very instrumental in our quest for our long lost classmates; salamat sano charlie m. & gsa(piyok)and both of your very reliable connections, padre cacoy and friends, etc, etc. si art f & gerry l na lang ang di ta pa aram kun harain plus some of our honorary batchmates like the bulusan boys and the cam. sur boys. our batch reunion next year will surely be great if everybody will attend. 

time to go home

it's time to part and go back home, to resume our daily tasks(weekend tigas...tiga-laba, tiga-saing, tiga-alaga ng bata. hahaha!). 'til nxt baragat, guys!

we posed before padre cacoy's toyota revo w/c brought us to anayan, pili, cam. sur for our bus trip home to legazpi. hanep sa olrayt talaga si padre kay may pabalon pa na 2 na fundador. hehehe! sa uulitin, ha, padre?

first batch reunion(again)

i'm posting again our first batch reunion due to the request of other batchmates and this time the pix are much more clearer. this was held on april 10-12, 1985 at chin's beach resort in bulan, sorsogon. we stayed at the beach overnight(apr 11- chin's bday). in the pix were(l-r) ronn y, joey d, odin a, teddy r, carlo v, joboy d, chin dc, and (seated) cacoy b. this pix was taken by chin's younger bro, leo(b87).

how proud we were to pose infront of the newly renovated St. Andrew the Apostle Church, with the parish priest, Fr. Julio Ciriaco B. Buena.

this was the moment when, thru padre cacoys new cellphone(3g), we talked w/ edmund in davao, joboy in dubai, fr. joebert in manila kaya lang answering machine an nagsimbag para kan mike sa tate. only later in the evening when we went back sa kumbento na nakaistorya namo si mike. it was nice to hear their voices, giving us assurance of their attendance in nxt years olps grand alumni homecoming.






notice the beautiful eyes of caloy? too much alcohol(fundador & johnny walker) intake. if only the pix can be embbed w/ audio, you'll hear caloy speaking in tounges(bikol-gubatnon-sorsoganon-naga, tagalog, spanish, english, & taglish). hehehe! hanep! kaogma namo maski sige na diriskusyon! hahaha! sige lang tinawa ni padre, inpara-painom pa si caloy para ada makasurumaton pa si caloy sin latin. hahaha!

we stayed at one of the many beach resorts(pier 39), lining the coast of sangay. caloy here didn't let go of the box of black label. hehehe!
we were the only local client of the resort, the other was a foreign couple billeted in one of the several airconditioned balay-balays. the pool and the beach were very enticing to plunge into kaya lang very busy na kami sin iristoryahan, riminiscing our past in olps. 

yadi pa

padre informed us that the church's roof and ceiling were blown & torn apart by typhoon doming so he immediately gathered his resources and repaired the damaged parts of his century old church. he also tiled the floors and installed a new sound system. we are very proud of his achievements in his parish even though he's been alone their for 5 long years. but now, he already has an assistant priest who is just fresh from ordaination. his parishioners too are very 'magalang to the max', pati kami na 4 na bisita, inmamanohan(bisa/hand bless).

after lunch, padre cacoy toured us around his area of responsibility, showed us the big improvement he made inside the St. Andrew the Apostle Church.

caloy and i left gubat at about 6am(sat jul 22) we left sorsogon at about 7am w/ joey and teddy. it took us 5 rides. we arrived at padre cacoy's parish at about 11:30 am and greeted him w/ a warm hug. we went directly to his dining table and caloy got hold of the fundador that was eagerly waiting for us. hehehe!...
talagang di inbubutasan ni caloy an paborito nya na bote, johnny walker naman niyan an kapot nya. before taking lunch, nagpampagana nguna kami sa black label...
padre here was showing us his photo albums of his trip in europe. he just arrived last wed(jul 19), his birthday, may jetlag pa ngani ada an padi.

belated happy birthday, padre odin!

belated hapi bday sa imo padre odin! syensya na for the late post, still got the hangover from padre cacoy's bday celebration last sat-sun in his beautiful parish in sangay, cam. sur. tnx also for the invite of a feastive sumptous dinner last sunday, kaya lang we're still on our way home that time nan kulanting pa sa fundador & black label. hik!hik!hik! maybe nxt time na lang an blowout mo...sa reunion niyan na oct, pwde?

Barcelona's St. Joseph Catholic Church

my sister and her little kid on their recent visit (06/2006) to my hometown. dini ako sadto nagsa sakristan kaya nagka interest sumulod sa OLPS. our house is a couple of minutes walk from this church. mga sano sa Bulusan, in aagihan niyo ini everytime nag uuli kamo. i'm sure you remember.

here's chin dc and elvis e in a very serious moment. i don't remember what character elvis was playing here, at the back were caloy v-the pianist who gave the play the background music, and igner m(partly hidden) as the basketball ring & board...nice part, sano.
