olps' fav drum & bugle corps

this was an earlier pix of the olps' favorite drum & bugle corps. maybe this was taken in 1978 or 1979. everytime olps celebrates its intramurals, parent's day, or the pass & review parade, the colegio de la milagrosa's (now st. louies de marillac college)drum & bugle corps were the one invited. the majorette here was ms. lilibeth lagamayo, a very close friend of sano von andre "sky" labalan (batch '81). amo baya sano sky? hehehe!

enough of our reunion '92, here's the latest from padre cacoy buena. at far right is the church where cacoy is assigned as parish priest(sangay, camarines sur) do you notice the glow in cacoy's face? that's an assurance that he is indeed very happy in his priestly vocation. more power, padre cacoy!

THIS IS IT!!! nagkaburuang na kami dini magpa-kodak sin may "paidlit" hehehe! same as we four did it as when we were in third year high school at luis' residence in bulan. kaya mga sano, hinay-hinay lang tabi sa irinom kay kun nano na kalokohan man an maisipan niyo, pareho mi didi sa pix. PLS. DO NOT PASS THIS AROUND!!! FOR SANOS EYES ONLY!!! HAHAHA!

return to our reunion '92

we're a little bit tipsy here and moved our drinking spree from the cottage to the powdery sand of rizal beach, having the notion that it's easy to cover up or clean the mess(throw-up/bahog-pato)if we had too much of the gilbey's gin we're having, an upgrade from the usual san miguel gin we used to have during our stay in olps(minor).hikhikhik!:)

I partly oriented my son to seminary life by touring him around the premises, showing him my footsteps there as far as I can still remember. The fav places (mandarin orchard, now gone w/c is replaced by the bldg. for retiring priests) where I used to hang-out w/ my friends. The poso where I bathed early in the wee hrs. of the morning due to water crisis then. The water tank at annex where many sanos used to swim. The big & small dorms, the refectory where we used to fall in line first to get a boiled banana for merienda, the canteen where softdrinks were almost free, the chapel(under renovation) where we used to pray & take a quick nap at the same time and the annex dorm where we used to "bakso" since it was a stonethrow away from the village, the classrooms where we studied latin, spanish etc, etc. In the foto also are sano Chingling and Mamo Pax.

OLPS Black Saturday Reunion

Here are pix of my son, Rodney Gian, playing billards while we sanos were having the gen assembly. I brought my eldest to the seminary for him to see where his dear old dad spent his very memorable adolescent years. 

Balik Seminaryo sa Black Sabado

Here are the pix of the Black Saturday Reunion of SANO. Only a handful of sanos attended due to lack of information dissemination. Sa bats namon, ako lang an nag-attend. Amo man sa bats '80 -Ronelo "chingling" Espeno & bats '83 -Raul "au" Jeresano. Maray pa sa bats '84 kay tolo sinda -Atty. Benedicto "bebot" Buenaventura, Antonio "tony" Co & Jose "toti" Padilla. The gen. assembly that should had happened after the registation was an informal one for only few of the old and new board of trustees attended. The planning of the future activities for the 61st OLPS Alumni Homecoming on October didn't materialize since the batch host (batch '81) was no where to be found. Not even one from their batch attended. Maybe because family reunions are scheduled on Black Saturday and Easter Sunday, the SANO reunion was a little bit of a dismay. We had a lunch of a box of chaofan from Chowking, topped w/ siomai. Mamo Pax came late. Kami na lang ni sano chingling an inabotan duman sa OLPS. Other batches pushed thru w/ their batch reunion at their fav venue. Chingling and I w/ my eldest son just had a bowl of halo-halo in Graceland in downtown area. The very delectable halo-halo was the courtesy of sano chingling. HeHeHe! Maski siya diabetic, fight pa gihapon kumaon sin halo-halo.

during the "maramam" phase of our reunion, a bit of seriousness hovered us. we pondered that we missed the camaraderie of our batch, the fun that we all shared. it's a loss that only four of us attended the 1992 reunion. maybe because of miscommunication and we really didn't bother to search for the others. sayang, mas maogma kuta kun kumpleto kami.

this was the starting point of our reunion, the room of fr. odine in the parish convent of gubat during his stay as asst. to the parish priest, fr. doug dimaano. probably, these are the same faces that will attend the partial baragat(apr 11 - 41st bday of chin) in prep for the 62nd alumni homecoming nxt year.

this is a copy of misibis' packages and room rates w/c catered more on the balikbayans & foreign tourists clienteles. we can afford to celebrate our batch reunion here only w/ the financial aids of our sanos who are coming home from abroad...basi umatras kamo mga sanos don sa tate? kun di kamo madagos maka-uli sa reunion ta nxt year, dini na lang ada kami mababad sa water tank san olps, libre pa! hehehe!:)

here's one of many pix i have of misibis residential resort in bacacay, albay. if ever our batch plans to have our silver jubilee reunion here next year, we should start now planning for it. oks dini kay medyo private resort ini. tama-tama sa aton na mga di maririnsal, ha thaddeus? hehehe!
